Q. I am trying to read back the value I just entered into a web-form for confirmation. I used the Get Value option with the HTML Action tool but it does not work. What other choices do we have?
A. It is always a good idea (recommended) to read back the value entered for reconfirmation especially when using the Sendkey option.The Get Value tool usually works. However, in some unusual cases, it does not. This is because of the HTML structure of the web-form. One example is Google Form. When Get Text does not work, then first extract the HTML source code and analyze where the values are stored, and then use the Get Attribute Value option.
